Privacy Notice

Data we collect and why

• Contact and business details you submit in the check form — your name, email address, business name, city, county and postcode. Used to run the listing check, generate your report and email it to you. Legal basis: performance of a contract (and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
• Check and report history — the results, health score, status and any notes we record for follow-up. Used to provide the service, apply free-check limits, support you and follow up on enquiries. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Account data for administrators who sign in (email, sign-in identifiers via Google). Used for authentication and access control. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, error and usage logs. Used for security, fraud and abuse prevention, reliability and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing messages — if we contact you about the service after a check, you can opt out at any time. Legal basis: legitimate interests or consent, as applicable.

Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors who host our application and database, deliver our report emails, and provide the business listing data we query (Google, Yelp).
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of check bundles, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle handles payment data directly under its own privacy terms.
• Professional advisers such as legal and accounting providers, where needed.
• Authorities or regulators where we are required to do so by law.

We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.

Retention

We keep lead and report data for as long as needed to provide the service and follow up on enquiries, and normally no longer than 24 months after your last interaction with us. Purchase and tax records are kept for the periods required by law. Cached listing results expire after 24 hours. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email napchecker1@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database security and restricted administrator access.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar local storage only — for sign-in sessions, security and completing checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in and checkout may then not work.

Governing law

This Privacy Notice is governed by the laws of Northern Ireland (UK law), and the courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
